Finally!!!

I have been desiring to blog for years and I am finally doing it!!!!  Thanks to the inspiration of Cinnamon Kerschner, whose blog I love to read (Knights and Maidens), I am actually attempting this endeavor!  My purpose is to provide a journal for my incredible family to remind them of our wonderful blessings.

One of the memorable summer weekends was the Ladies Tea where three of our daughters modeled various wedding dresses from the past.  It was not only breath-taking but heart-stopping to see them and recognize they soon will be wearing their own wedding dresses walking down the aisle in their own wedding!  How I cherish our times with them in our home!

Fall is Friday!!  That means Dad's chili, homemade breads, magnificent cool weather, walks down our road, pumpkin candles, and Cow Town filled with color!
It also means not having to water the lawn as much, making exciting Thanksgiving plans, and seeing the stores begin to explode with Christmas!!!!

Current Child Update:
-Abe is in Illinois working and eager to transfer to San Luis Obispo October 31.
-Paul is working, helping to care for his four sweet kids, and attending the Biblical Counseling Class with us.
-Laura has been working in WA since January at the nuclear power plant and we are hoping to see her red little car, stuffed with clothes, drive in any day!!!
-Hannah is busy training and delighting in her two dear daughters who keep her laughing and growing! She is beginning to teach an awesome parenting study from Growing in Grace by Elyse Fitzpatrick to the Mom's Group at FCC.
-Joanna is balancing her difficult nursing requirements and working two jobs while she lives in her cute casita across town. She just finished a commercial for Genesis Health where she is an office manager.
-Esther and adorable 1 1/2 year old Landon are enjoying the local parks, Nick, and each other when Es is not working at the Marriott Hotel. Sadly, she is looking for a place to move to at the end of the month.
-Sarah, now 18, is a student involved in college studies, Bible studies, and a Biblical Counseling course, while also working as an art teacher at two local elementary schools. She rarely sleeps!
-Rachel is attending Buckingham Charter High School, where she attends half time on campus and half studying at home.  As a true teen, she loves to hang out with her friends, and is always planning a fun get-together!!!!  She is looking for her first job as well as studying to get her driver's permit.
-Izzy is immersed in high school studies, swim team, and assisting in swim lessons at Gold's Gym. She loves to ride horses also--yea, Mr. Professor!

A highlight of my week is when we picnic Sundays after church  at any park which has several long tables available.  What a joy to have our family altogether and watch the grand kids laugh and play!!! I cherish these afternoons as I watch the three generations interact!

Skip and I are amazingly celebrating our 35th anniversary!!  We plan to head to Lake Tahoe, where it all began at Love's Chapel!!:)  Skip is still water consulting working with ACQA, an international firm, which only requires him to travel in California which we all appreciate.

Love, blessings and prayers,
Mom
